In Montero arbeitete er an der Montage der Heizkessel der Zuckerrohrmühle "Ingenio Azucarero Guabirá". Vater von drei Kinder. Er ruht im Friedhof von Montero. Sein Lebensmotto je nach Laune: "Das Leben ist zu kurz! Das Leben ist zu lang!"
